Adoption Class is open to individuals or couples considering adopting a child, those preparing to go through the adoption process or those with a newly adopted baby at home. This class enables adoptive parents to learn how to prepare and care for a newborn baby in an environment that understands their unique situation.
Our class offers parents the opportunity to meet other families going through a similar experience and connects them with resources for adoptive families in our community.
Topics include: What to expect at the hospital, Involvement during the birth, How to prepare for and address legal matters, Birth certificates & social security cards, Visitation, Bonding with your child, Caring for your newborn (Circumcision, Immunizations, Feeding, sleeping, bathing, Car seat safety, etc).
Classes are held from 6:30 - 8 pm and include a tour of the unit for those who are interested. Class is free of charge. . To register call 866.757.6248.
