Diabetes can sometimes seem to be an overwhelming disease because it impacts so many areas of an individual’s daily life. To help, SJRMC offers a Diabetes Support Group that meets on specified Wednesdays of every other month. Together, attendees provide support and valuable insight by sharing personal experiences, feedback on what works/doesn’t work, and first-hand tips to help achieve health goals.
Support groups unite people who live with diabetes, and their family members, in a sense of community by providing them with up-to-date diabetes information, educational resources and support. Attending meetings is a great way to compliment what you learn from your health care team to motivate you towards better daily diabetes management.
The Support Group meetings are FREE and open to the public.
