At Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center—Plymouth campus, you and your loved ones will find some of the most advanced medical services in the region. And while our care level is on par with big-city hospitals, we’re different in one very significant way: We treat you with genuine, neighborly, small-town warmth from the moment you enter our doors.

We know it’s sometimes difficult to visit a loved one in the hospital. Our goal is to make your visit as easy and comfortable as we can.

Rules to visit by

The following rules are designed to encourage the recovery and assure the privacy of our patients. It’s in everyone’s best interest that visitor’s adhere to these guidelines.

  • Only two visitors are allowed in a patient’s room at one time. Try to limit your visits to 15 minutes. A longer visit may become tiring for patients.
  • Children younger than 12 are generally not allowed to visit patients, except for moms and new siblings in the New Beginnings Birthplace. Special circumstances may be discussed with a patient’s nurse.
  • Be sure to check with a patient’s doctor or nurse before bringing a patient any food or beverages. Many of our patients are on restrictive diets.
  • Please refrain from visiting if you have a cold.
  • Please avoid sitting on patients’ beds. Chairs are provided for visitors.
  • Please wash your hands before entering and before leaving the patient’s room. This simple step significantly reduces the chance of infection.
