Graduate Medical Education at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center includes five programs that are complimentary, not competitive, in nature (i.e. we remain unopposed).
-
Allopathic Family Medicine Program
-
Osteopathic Family Medicine Program
- Podiatric Residency Program
-
Pharmacy Residency Program
-
Sports Medicine Fellowship
The Family Medicine Residency program provides the physician with clinical experience in all areas pertinent to the practice of Family Medicine. The experiences provided allow each resident to measure his or her clinical skills and also prepares residents for the business management of a private practice. The residency-training program is divided into time the physician spends with inpatient services and time spent seeing their own panel of patients in the Family Medicine Center. Additional time in the program is devoted to electives and required rotations.
We maintain an enthusiastic commitment from community physicians. As a result, specialists are eager to offer their skills to residents enrolled in the program. Upon completion of our three-year program, physicians are board eligible for the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Board of Osteopathic Family Practice.
