Building for the Future

In fall of 2009, the doors to the new Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center hospital in Mishawaka will open, giving our community access to world-class technology and advanced care provided in a healing environment.

Your new $355 million facility will offer 254 large private inpatient rooms and a full range of services, conveniently located near the intersection of Main and Douglas streets in Mishawaka.

Structure & Design

Your new hospital was designed with focus on efficiency and patient safety. Multiple-story towers will provide patients with a hotel-style feel. The core of the new campus will be a large, two-story diagnostic and treatment center. A medical office building will connect to the hospital to provide easy access for patients and physicians.

Campus & Environment

Set on 90 acres, the new hospital campus includes a park area with a series of ponds and walkways to promote a relaxing and healing atmosphere. Patients and visitors can find places of respite, including a Chapel Garden, Cafe and Dining Terrace.

Green Guide for Healthcare

Saint Joseph is abiding by the Green Guide for Health Care, a national self-certification program for healthcare construction. By integrating design and operations and researching alternatives to current practices, we are striving to stay environmentally friendly and economically efficient.
