Radiation Oncology services at SJRMC offer advanced comprehensive radiation therapy programs, with individualized treatments for each patients.
Board-certified physicians and licensed oncology team are qualified and experienced in 3-D conformal radiation therapy and intensity modulated radiation therapy (IMRT).
This cutting-edge treatment gives radiation therapist the ability to "sculpt" the contours of the tumor that spares the adjacent healthy tissue. Unlike the conventional methods, IMRT delivers more precise and accurate treatment with fewer side effects and a higher better outcome rate.
The oncology team consists of a specially trained oncology nurse, radiation therapist, dosimetrist and physicist, who each work with the patient to ensure the highest quality, safety and best possible outcomes.
