Healthy Family Center
The Healthy Family Center was established to provide a source of medical care for members of our community.
HFC provides primary medical services, while stressing patient education and preventive healthcare for you and your family.
Services include:
- Family Medicine care
- Preventive healthcare
- Treatment for acute injuries or illness
- Chronic disease management
- Screenings
- Free immunizations for those who qualify
- Head Start & school physicals
- Prenatal & obstetrical care
- Women's health & minor gynecological procedures
- Medication assistance program
- Breast & Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP)
Social services provided include:
- Prenatal & family care coordination
- Free pregnancy tests
- Free immunizations
- Weight Management Classes
- Smoking cessation counseling
- On-site Counseling Services
- Crib Club in collaboration with Women's Care Center
Insurance & Payment
We file claims for most insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid. Our office staff can assist you in determining your individual insurance requirements. FMC uses a sliding-fee scale, based upon your income and needs.
It will be necessary for you to provide your insurance card at the time of your visit. This will enable us to handle most insurance billing matters for you. We make every effort to keep down the cost of your medical care, but please remember it is your responsibility to pay any unpaid balance, deductibles and co-payments promptly.

Emergency Care
In the event of a medical emergency after hours, a 24 hour answering service number will be provided on our regular business line. If the condition is serious go the local Emergency Room.
