CT Scan
We use the most advanced 64-slice CT Scanner technology, offering:
- Higher quality images
- Better diagnostic capability
- Lower radiation doses
- Shorter breath-holds during the test
The LightSpeed 64-Slice VCT Scanner can capture entire organ structures in a one-second scan. In five seconds - the heart and coronary arteries with incredible detail. In ten seconds - an entire body vascular scan.
Our 64 Slice CT Scanner actually makes it possible to image the Coronary Arteries of your heart in 3D. This procedure, called Coronary CTA, brings imaging of the Coronary Arteries to patients in a less-invasive manner than traditional catheterization.
Some CT Scan images are processed using a 3D workstation to enhance the diagnostic accuracy of the examinations. In South Bend, we have a CT-scanner located in the Emergency Department for quick access in emergency situations
