Midwifery of Michiana
If you are looking for different options for your gynecological and obstetrical care, the Midwifery of Michiana (MOM) could be the right place for you.
At MOM, we pride ourselves on our ability to listen to women. From decisions ranging from natural childbirth, to water birth, to the need for an epidural, we are here for you.
Our Certified Nurse-Midwives (CNMs), affiliated with Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, are registered nurses who have a Master's degree and have completed a formal course of study in midwifery from an accredited program and are licensed by the Board of Nursing.
All of the births are performed at the Family Birthplace at the new Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.
CNMs provide more than just prenatal and delivery care, but an entire range of personalized care, including:
- Preconception counseling
- Prenatal and birth care, including water births
- Gynecology, including annual exams, physicals, pap tests and STD testing
- Preimenopausal and postmenopausal care

Midwifery of Michiana Meet & Greet
Planning a pregnancy or already expecting? Learn more about midwifery and Centering Pregnancy classes at our Midwifery of Michiana (MOM) Meet & Greets.
Join us from 5 - 6 pm on the second Tuesday of each month for light snacks, a tour and information regarding a new way of receiving prenatal care at the MOM office, 360 N. Notre Dame Ave. in South Bend.
