The Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) is a 40-foot clinic on wheels operated by Saint Joseph Health System, bringing convenient healthcare services directly to communities throughout St. Joseph, Marshall, and surrounding counties. By traveling to both urban and rural locations, the MMU helps make essential care more accessible, closer to home.

When you schedule a mammogram on the MMU, you'll receive the same high-quality care you expect at any Saint Joseph Health System location. The unit is equipped with the same advanced technology and supported by the same expert physicians and care teams who serve patients throughout our health system.

Making Care More Accessible

The MMU helps remove barriers to healthcare by bringing services directly to communities, workplaces, and organizations. It is especially valuable for individuals who may face transportation challenges or have limited access to medical offices and clinics.

Saint Joseph Health System follows the same billing and financial assistance guidelines for services provided on the MMU as at our hospitals and outpatient locations. We make every effort to bill commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid when applicable.

Business and Organization Partnerships

Local businesses and organizations can schedule the Mobile Medical Unit to visit their location, providing employees convenient access to preventive health services, including mobile mammography.

These corporate wellness programs help employers support the health and well-being of their workforce while minimizing time away from work. A reservation fee applies for onsite corporate wellness events.
