For Patients & Families

Customer Relations

Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center is committed to providing quality care to all of our patients. Our staff is here to listen to any concerns or questions, and to help ensure patient and family comfort and satisfaction. Please feel free to speak with any staff member about these matters.

We take patient and family approval very seriously, which is why we regularly measure patient satisfaction and compare it to other hospital national standards. We also make sure that all our patients have an opportunity to speak one on one with someone to make sure their stay is comfortable as possible.

There are also customer cards located in all the waiting rooms, and we encourage you to provide feedback about the service you have received. Each campus also has other ways that you can contact a patient representative.

In South Bend

You can contact a volunteer patient representative. From inside the hospital dial “0” and ask to speak with our director of patient and customer relations, or our director of volunteer services. If you are calling from outside the hospital, dial (574) 237-7133. On evening and weekends the in-duty nursing supervisor will assist you.

After you are discharged, you will also receive a follow up call to answer any additional questions you have, or to share any additional information.

In Plymouth

A customer service representative stops by to check on all inpatients and their families. This is an excellent opportunity to voice any concerns or needs. However, should you need assistance you can reach Shelly Lee in customer relations at extension 2222.
