We believe women in our community deserve the best gynecological and procreative care possible. The Saint Joseph FertilityCare™ Center provides education and serves couples desiring to achieve or avoid pregnancy and women seeking solutions for gynecological health conditions.
About the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System
At its basic level, the Creighton Model FertilityCare™ System (CrMS), is a highly effective, scientific system of natural family planning; however it is truly much more. When a woman charts her cycle, not only does the couple know when they are naturally fertile or infertile, but the chart also telegraphs abnormalities in a woman’s health, allowing her physician to identify and treat health issues such as:
- Recurrent miscarriage
- Irregular periods
- Pelvic pain
- Premenstrual syndrome
- Post-partum depression
- Perimenopausal symptoms
- Ovarian cysts
- Polycystic Ovarian Disease
While most women still do not know about the workings of their cycles, a woman who charts with CrMS will not only be empowered with knowledge of how her body works, but she will also be an active participant in monitoring and maintaining her own procreative and gynecologic health. The Creighton Model FertilityCare System is truly something that every couple needs to know – and that every woman has a right to know.
We offer 90-minute presentations that introduce the use and applications of the Creighton Model FertilityCare System. Introductory Sessions are held on a regular basis at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in a group setting. Private and off-site presentations can be arranged upon request. Registration is required.
After attending an Introductory Session, women/couples who enroll in the program will then attend a series of private Follow-Up Sessions. These sessions provide professional, individualized instruction in the use of the System, as well as a complete chart review. Scheduled at regular intervals, attendance is essential so that the woman/couple may quickly develop confidence and obtain maximum effectiveness. Typically, there are eight Follow-Up Sessions, which occur on the following schedule after attendance at an Introductory Session. Subsequent follow-ups are then recommended every six to 12 months to ensure quality care. Your FertilityCare Practitioner is also available for additional follow-ups or consultation between sessions should questions or need arise.
Due to the specialized focus of our care, many women/couples seeking our services come from other cities, states and countries. While some long-distance patients choose to attend their appointments in person, virtual phone or web-based video appointments may also be arranged. Contact us for additional information.
