Is emergency treatment necessary?

We know it’s not always easy for you to decide if an illness or injury requires emergency treatment. At Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center, our Emergency Department is always open, always ready to care for you and those you love. Understand, however, that a trip to the Emergency Department usually takes longer and costs more than a visit to a doctor’s office.

Sometimes people come to an emergency room simply because they don’t have a family doctor. If that’s your case, we strongly encourage you to find one.
