When you come to us for emergency treatment, we want you to have your support people with you—those who love and care about you. However, the emergency team needs enough room to perform their duties quickly. We must also protect the confidentiality and privacy of all of our patients. So we permit only two family members or friends to stay with you in the emergency treatment area.

Remember that children may find this area frightening. We don’t recommend bringing children into the emergency treatment area unless absolutely necessary.
