Genesis Birth Center

Birthing tubs

A unique feature of the Genesis Birth Center is our two birthing tubs. Popular in Europe, warm water immersion during labor and/or birth provides a buoyancy that increases comfort and relaxation during labor.

A waterproof Doppler is used to monitor the baby while the mother is in the tub. Mothers can choose to just labor in the tub or labor and deliver. Many women believe that water births are easier on the baby, providing them a gentler entry into the world.
