Healthy Family Center
The Healthy Family Center was established to assist those who may not otherwise receive regular healthcare. Our facility can tend to all your family’s healthcare needs. Patient education and preventive healthcare are stressed. Services provided include, but are not limited to:
- A full scope practice of family medicine.
- Preventive healthcare.
- Treatment for acute injuries or illness.
- Chronic disease management.
- Screenings.
- Free immunizations for those who qualify.
- Head Start and school physicals.
- Prenatal and obstetrical care.
- Drug assistance program with pharmacist available.
- Women’s health, minor gynecological procedures.
- Breast and Cervical Cancer Program (BCCP).
- Hoosier Healthwise applications taken on-site.
- Medicare Supplement (QMB) applications taken on-site.
Additional testing is available through Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center—Mishawaka or Edison Lakes Medical Center.
Social services are also provided and include:
- Prenatal and family care coordination.
- First Steps Early Intervention Program.
- Medical social worker.
- Free immunizations.
- Crib Club in collaboration with Women’s Care Center.
- Women’s Care Center offers free pregnancy tests and counseling services for young women and families free of charge.
- Free pregnancy tests.
- Smoking cessation counseling.
The Center accepts private insurance, Medicare or Medicaid and has a sliding-fee scale, based upon your income and needs.
