As we wrap up 2025, we’re proud to look back on the incredible strides we’ve made together to serve our community. This year was all about expanding access, introducing new services and delivering care that puts patients first. Here are some highlights:

  • Leading the way in lung care: Saint Joseph is the only health system in Indiana offering robotic-assisted bronchoscopy, a minimally-invasive procedure that helps diagnose and treat lung conditions, including cancer. Our expert team performed more than 100 of these advanced procedures this year, improving accuracy and ensuring personalized care for every patient.
  • Introducing two new specialty services: We welcomed ear, nose and throat (ENT) care with Dr. Paul Judge and launched a hepatobiliary service line, led by the region’s only specialist in this field, Dr. Sushruta Nagarkatti. These additions mean more advanced surgical and specialty care close to home.
  • Expanding our footprint: We’ve expanded! By purchasing the Elm Road Medical Building, we’ve brought Saint Joseph Family Medicine and Sleep Medicine under one roof. This move gives us space to grow and add new specialty offices.
  • National recognition: Saint Joseph Mishawaka Medical Center was named to Becker’s Hospital Review’s 2025 list of 100 Great Community Hospitals. This honor recognizes hospitals that deliver expert care, strengthen local economies and drive innovation. Our Mishawaka Medical Center was recognized for innovation in care delivery, clinical excellence and sustainable design.

These accomplishments reflect our shared vision of advancing health care in our region and providing exceptional experiences for those we serve. They also underscore our dedication to meeting the growing and diverse health care needs of the Michiana community.
