SJHS increases minimum wage for colleagues

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (August 26, 2021) — Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) is grateful for our colleagues’ hard work and dedication during the past year. SJHS recognizes our colleagues are our most important resource and we are committed to investing in each person to build a strong future for our organization.

Effective August 29, 2021, SJHS will increase the minimum wage for all colleagues from $13 per hour to $15 per hour. SJHS is proud to make these significant investments in our workforce to ensure wages remain competitive in our marketplace and our belief that there is dignity in all work.

For colleagues to build a strong future for themselves, they need to be able to provide housing, transportation, food, and other necessities for themselves and their families. Everyone's needs differ, but this increase aims to help colleagues gain further financial stability.
