SJHS invites media to tour home for 2019 House Raffle

The Foundation of Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) invites local media to tour the grand-prize home for the 2019 House Raffle on Feb. 26 at 10 a.m. This year marks the 28th annual House Raffle fundraiser. Funds from the 2018 House Raffle supported The Foundation of SJHS and the care and services provided to our patients and the community. A portion of the proceeds also benefited the Women’s Care Center and their work in providing services to women and their babies.

Built by Place Builders, this year’s house is located in the Northbridge Valley subdivision at 54746 Sacramento Meadows Dr., Osceola. The 2,482-sq-ft, four-bedroom home is valued at $350,000. Its ranch-style layout has three bedrooms on the first floor, a great room with fireplace and hardwood floors in the kitchen, laundry room and foyer. The master suite with mud-base shower is on the first floor as well as the laundry/mudroom with built-in cubbies. This home offers granite countertops throughout, two-car garage, patio, 95-percent-efficient gas furnace, covered porch, stone exterior accent and sprinkler system. The finished basement hosts a great room, bedroom, bathroom and area for storage. The alternative cash prize is $105,000.

Northbridge Valley subdivision is located at intersection of Edison and Birch Roads. A public open house is planned for March 9 and 10, 2-4 pm.

Participation in House Raffle 2019 will help support The Foundation of SJHS and the care and services provided to our patients. During the past 27 years, more than $5 million in care and services have been returned to the community, thanks to House Raffle participants.

The second-place winner will be awarded $16,000, with 42 additional cash prizes ranging from $5,000 to $175.

House Raffle offers will be available to purchase beginning Tuesday, March 5, at Saint Joseph Health System Mishawaka Medical Center, 5215 Holy Cross Parkway, Mishawaka. Offers are $175 each. Sale hours are from 8 am-6 pm, weekdays only. Only 4,500 offers will be sold and 45 prizes will be drawn, making the odds of winning 1 in 100.

The House Raffle 2019 drawing will be held at 5 pm on May 3 at Mishawaka Medical Center. Winners need not be present to win. The Early Bird bonus drawing of $2,019 will take place during the House Raffle drawing. To be eligible for the Early Bird Bonus drawing, a paid entry must be received and recorded by noon, March 8. Eligible entries will be certified by Kruggel Lawton CPAs. The Early Bird winner is eligible for the remaining 44 House Raffle prizes.
