Temporary Change to Visitation Guidelines

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (March 10, 2020) — UPDATE: We have received some questions about the current visitation restrictions in place. These restrictions will be in effect as long as COVID-19 is present in the community. We’re relying on the help and understanding of the community to assist in keeping our patients healthy.

For those who are expecting to welcome a new member of their family soon - we’ve decided to temporarily change our visitation guidelines to ensure the health and safety of the community, including those babies Saint Joseph Health System has helped to bring into this world.

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (March 7, 2020) — Effective immediately, Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) has temporarily changed its visitor guidelines for anyone visiting patients at any SJHS location.

To provide the safest possible environment for our patients, visitors, and staff only two healthy visitors over the age of 18 will be permitted per patient at a time.

Saint Joseph Health System encourages potential visitors who need to connect with friends or family under care to call or use digital options like Facetime or Skype as an alternative to in-person visits.

Saint Joseph Health System will continue to provide the highest quality of care to the communities we serve. We need your help to maintain a safe environment for our patients and staff while also ensuring your loved one has the support they need from family and friends.
