Mishawaka, Ind. — The Foundation of Saint Joseph Health System (SJHS) is excited to welcome Steve Funk as its Director of Philanthropy. He will oversee all SJHS fundraising efforts that support acute care in hospitals, community clinics and community health initiatives such as diabetes prevention and health screenings.

Steve brings with him over 30 years of experience in sales, media, operational management and fundraising. Prior to his position at SJHS, Steve served as Vice President of Development & Marketing at PBS Michiana - WNIT and as the Executive Director of the South Bend Education Foundation. He has been an active member of the South Bend/Mishawaka community for almost 20 years, having served as a volunteer with the Rotary Club of South Bend, United Way of St. Joseph County, Ready to Grow St. Joe Early Childhood Coalition and United Way of Elkhart County.

"We are eager to welcome Steve to the Saint Joe's family," said Chris Karam, President of Saint Joseph Health System. "His commitment to our community and record of success as a fundraiser will help SJHS expand our mission to provide compassionate care in our community."
