Dr. Stephen Simons is a native of Goshen, Indiana. Following residency, he worked for the University of Notre Dame as a university and team physician. Currently he serves as the director of our Sports Medicine Fellowship.Dr. Simons is very involved in the American College of Sports Medicine and the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. He enjoys serving on committees for these organizations and interacting with fellowship directors as well as nationally recognized experts in Sports Medicine. He is a volunteer physician for the United States Olympic Committee and served as an athlete physician at the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics, 2003 Pan American Games and 2004 Summer Olympic Games in Athens, Greece. He also serves as the Chairman of the Indiana State Medical Society’s Commission on Sports Medicine. He holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine.
