Podiatric Residency Benefits
Salary (adjusted annually)
- First year residents: $54,750
- Second year residents: $58,000
- Third year residents: $62,000
Housing Allowance
All residents also receive $6,500 Housing Allowance each year.
Vacation (paid)
- First year residents: Three weeks
- Second year residents: Three weeks
- Third year residents: Four weeks
CME
- Five days
- $2,000 per year
In Addition, included in your training are the following:
- ACLS (advanced cardiac life support)
- Practice Management
Book Allowance/Technology
- $300 per year is allotted as a book allowance
- $1,000 technology allowance to 1st year residents
Moving Allowance/Relocation
Up to $1,000 reimbursement is available to first year residents, payable on receipt of allowable expense receipts.
Lab Coats/Scrubs
Two monogrammed lab coats are provided to first year residents, and two sets of scrubs.
Insurance
Insurance is available to choose from at the standard rate for an employee specific to health, vision, and dental. Healthcare coverage begins on the first day of employment. Family coverage is available.
In addition to health, vision, and dental, the following insurances are offered.
- Life insurance is provided at two times annual salary (residents are able to purchase ADL coverage for self and family)
- Malpractice insurance
- Disability insurance
