Dr. Battjes graduated from Purdue University’s College of Pharmacy in 2010, earning his Doctor of Pharmacy degree. After graduation, he completed a PGY1 residency through Purdue University and Mathes Pharmacy, specializing in diabetes care and community pharmacy. After completing his residency, Dr. Battjes joined SJHS and practices in the Family Medicine Center, where he established the Diabetes Education Program to educate pharmacy residents and students, as well as medical residents and students. Dr. Battjes is very passionate about teaching and precepts PharmD candidates from local colleges of pharmacy. Dr. Battjes is an Affiliate Associate Professor of Pharmacy for Purdue University and is involved in developing their diabetes elective courses.
